Ok so it's time to sum up my 2016 resolutions and make some for 2017
The good new is I didn't fail in the first month
and even though it didn't go as planned I am still quite satisfied. Here are my successes and failures:
1. Post at least 12 finished artworks - preferably once a month. -> FAIL but I posted 31 inktober drawings and 30 huevember works, although I'm not sure if I can call them "finished". I still think that these two challenges were my greatest achievements this year and I'm really proud of myself for completing them.
2. Complete all lessons in
the Proko Library. Bonus points if I do it in six months. -> SUCCESS and I get bonus points for for completing them in six months
While there's still a lot of room for improvement, I think I have much better grasp of anatomy than before. Of course, I will return to the lessons because there's still so much to learn.
3. "Draw every day." Be it 5 minutes, or 20 minutes, or na hour. I just want to get into the habit of drawing. Of course, I probably
won't be able to draw EVERY day of the year so I thought that 305 days of drawing will be enough to consider this point successful. -> FAIL The first mistake I made was not making some kind of calendar or something to mark the days I missed. After some time I simply lost count
BUT I achieved a part of my goal which was to develop a drawing habit. Again, thanks to Inktober and Huevember challenges a day without drawing at least for a moment seems... lacking something
To sum up, I mostly failed but in a way I managed to achieve some goals and I am happy because I drew more and I feel that I improved.
What about 2017? Here are my new resolutions:
1. Complete one dragon picture each month -> Chosing a main topic (dragons) really helped me with Inktober so I guess it will help here too
2. Complete
30 Days of Improvement Hell
That's it. Happy New Year
